Circuit + Zapier: Integrate your business workflows with team collaboration
We built Circuit to make you more efficient as a team, with strong voice, video, screen sharing, file sharing and messaging capabilities. With our new Zapier support, you can integrate business workflows with Circuit team conversations. It‘s an important next step to realize our vision of Circuit as your central enterprise collaboration platform and hub. Collaboration becomes more configurable to the needs of specific roles in your organization.
Zapier is a cloud-based workflow and automation service that connects more than 1000 SaaS applications, like Trello and Asana for project managers, Jira for developers, Zendesk for customer support, Salesforce.com for sales communities, and now Circuit for team collaboration to tie it all together. After all, collaboration is the common ground for everyone in the organization, and where people spend a lot of time. It’s the perfect space to keep track of what‘s going on around you without having to jump between apps the whole time, or have your inbox flooded with email alerts.
So how does it work?
Zapier workflows are called ‘zaps’ and they are built with two major concepts: Triggers and Actions. A trigger is an event or action taking place in any supported cloud service or app. An action is whatever the Zapier workflow executes when a trigger event takes place. For example, triggers can be new Jira or Zendesk tickets or customer leads in Salesforce.com, which are then posted to specific Circuit team conversations as the corresponding action.
Adding Tweets to Circuit conversations
Integration with Circuit has the added benefit that teams can share and find contextual information about particular customers, issues or projects that require attention, or jump on a quick call if needed, decreasing issue resolution time and increasing customer satisfaction as a result.
And what does it cost?
Integration with Zapier is available at no extra charge. With our Circuit Team, Professional and Enterprise subscription or freemium packages, you can create as many single action zaps as you want. If you are a paying Zapier customer, you will be able to enjoy realtime triggering, while free zaps are processed in 15-minute batches, which is sufficient for most workflows. Premium workflows can be set up in Zapier with multiple actions and in real time, which we consider supporting in the future, based on your interest and feedback.
On the Circuit side, Zapier integration needs to be activated centrally for you to be able to use it. If it’s not already configured, please contact your tenant administrator so that he or she can take care of this easy one-time setup. To get started, we have created ten Zap templates and a few FAQs. If you use one of our templated zaps, you can edit them to make it your own, or you can start creating new zaps from scratch. It‘s easy, you don‘t have to be a developer!
Thank you for using Circuit and as always let us know what you think!
