Todd E. Wille, President and CEO
Mr. Wille has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer since rejoining the Company in 2000. He is a seasoned business and financial executive with over 20 year’s experience. Prior to rejoining Unify, Mr. Wille served as Senior Vice President of Operations and CFO, and Vice President of Finance for FRx Software where he was responsible for corporate marketing, client services, operations, and finance and administration. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Wille served as Unify’s Vice President of Finance and CFO, and before that, Corporate Controller, where he was responsible for worldwide finance, investor relations, accounting, human resources and co-management of European and Japanese operations. Mr. Wille is a Certified Public Account. He received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa with concentrations in Accounting, Finance and Management Information Systems.
Steve Bonham, Vice President, Finance and Administration and CFO
Mr. Bonham joined Unify in 2005 and oversees accounting, investor relations, human resources and administration. Prior to joining Unify, he served for eight years as the CFO for LexisNexis Examen, a recently acquired subsidiary of LexisNexis. Prior to LexisNexis Examen, Mr. Bonham spent eight years with Foundation Health Corp., a Fortune 500 publicly traded managed care insurance company, having served as the Vice President of Finance for the California Heath Care and Specialty Services divisions. Mr. Bonham, a licensed Certified Public Accountant, has a B.S. degree in accounting from California State University, Sacramento.
Duane George, Vice President, Product Development and CTO
Mr. George is responsible for Unify’s Technical Services Group which includes product development, customer support, consulting, training, documentation, quality control and assurance. Mr. George has been in the information technology and engineering industries for over 25 years. He began his career as an engineer with the Department of Defense managing the acquisition and implementation of Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems. He eventually moved into software development, customer support and project management with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. Mr. George joined Unify in 1995 and has been a core member of the support, consulting and product development teams. He earned his B.S. in engineering from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Kevin Kane, Vice President and General Manager, Composer Solutions
Mr. Kane joined Unify in January 2007 and is responsible for driving market adoption for the Company's service-oriented architecture (SOA) product portfolio. He brings demonstrated sales success in growing top-line revenue for several enterprise software companies. Most recently he served as the global sales director for Sacramento, Calif.-based Meridian Systems, selling SOA applications to the construction industry. At Meridian, he lead strategic sales initiatives that resulted in reduced sales cycles, increased close ratios and new product revenue growth of 450 percent. Additionally, Mr. Kane has lead sales organizations at industry leading software companies, which were then acquired, including VIEO, now Cesura; Dazel Corp., acquired by Hewlett Packard; Tivoli Systems, acquired by IBM; Beyond Software, acquired by NEON Systems; and Sterling Software, acquired by Computer Associates. Mr. Kane received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Saint Mary’s College of California.
Mark Bygraves, Vice President and General Manager, Software Group
Mr. Bygraves joined Gupta Technologies in February 2002, where he most recently served as the Managing Director for Europe, Middle-East and Africa. Mr. Bygraves is responsible for driving the Software (Database and Development Products) Group, which includes the award winning NXJ Developer, Team Developer and SQLBase product portfolio. Having worked in the IT industry for over 20 years Mr. Bygraves is a highly respected and seasoned professional who has previously held a number of senior positions, including the Director of Channels at Hitachi Data Systems, as well as gaining extensive experience and success in a number of Channel and Distribution Sales Directorship roles, representing and developing markets for many of the world’s leading storage management and software vendors.
Frank Verardi, Vice President, Americas, APAC and Russia Sales
Mr. Verardi is responsible for the North and South America, Asia Pacific (APAC) and Russia sales territories. He has been with Unify since 1988 having served in
numerous executive level positions including vice president of technical services, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing,
and vice president of professional services. Prior to joining Unify, Mr. Verardi spent 15 years with Computer Sciences Corporation
in various positions including as director of commercial professional services.
Steve Soren, Vice President of Business Development
Mr. Soren joined Unify in August 2008 in the newly created position of Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Soren is responsible for developing
new partnerships and identifying potential acquisitions that expand Unify’s migration and modernization portfolio and accelerate the Company’s growth.
Additionally, Mr. Soren has extensive experience with federal, state and local government sales, the creation and management of specialized solution groups,
and automated migration solutions for the mainframe. He most recently served as the Vice President, public sector for Ateras, Before Ateras,
he was the Director of Mainframe Business Development at Computer Associates.
Board of Directors
Chairman of the Board - Steve D. Whiteman
Mr. Whiteman has served as a director of Unify since May 1997. In August 2004, he was appointed chairman of the board. Mr. Whiteman previously served as the president and chief executive officer of Intesource, an Internet based procurement service specifically for the food industry. From June 2000 to May 2002, he worked as an independent consultant. From May 1993 until June 2000, Mr. Whiteman served as president of Viasoft, Inc. (“Viasoft”), a publicly traded software products and services company. From February 1994 to June 2000, Mr. Whiteman also served as chief executive officer and director of Viasoft, and from April 1997 to June 2000, he served as chairman of the board of directors. Mr. Whiteman holds a B.A. degree in business administration from Taylor University and a M.B.A. from the University of Cincinnati.
Director - Robert Bozeman
Robert Bozeman was appointed director in January of 2008. Mr. Bozeman currently serves as an advisor to companies in the technology industry.
He is experienced in business operations, venture capital investment, and mergers and acquisitions having previously served in the capacities
of CEO and Board Member for a variety of software, information services and computer supplier companies. Mr. Bozeman's last operating role was
as CEO for Bricsnet from July, 2003 through November, 2004; prior to that - from November, 1997 through December, 2003, Bob was General Partner
of Angel Investors LP for both its Fund I and Fund II. Investments by the firm included Ask Jeeves, Brightmail, Google, Opsware, and PayPal.
In addition, many of Angel Investors LP investments became successful acquisitions, including AOL’s acquisition of Spinner,
Microsoft’s acquisitions of eQuil, MongoMusic and Vacation Spot and Sybase’s acquisition of AvantGo!.
Mr. Bozeman is currently on the Board and/or is an advisor to AkiiRa, Become.com, Pacific Art Group, Restoration Partners and Vortex.
Director - Richard M. Brooks
Mr. Brooks was appointed a director in August 2005. In September 2006, Mr. Brooks became a partner in the national executive consulting services company, Tatum, LLC. Mr. Brooks co-founded Winterhawk Media LLC, an Internet security firm in March 2005. Mr. Brooks previously served as chief executive officer for VantageMed, a publicly traded software products and services company from April 2002 to December 2004. In addition, Mr. Brooks served as a director of VantageMed Corporation from March 2001 to January 2005 and was appointed chairman of that board in May of 2002. Prior to being appointed CEO at VantageMed, Mr. Brooks served as a managing member of Brooks and Donde LLC, a financial and information technology company. From June 1998 to June 2001, Mr. Brooks served on the board of directors of NetStream, Inc., a communications and IT managed services company which he co-founded. He was also treasurer from May 2000 to June 2001, and served as the chief financial officer from June 1998 to May 2000, for NetStream, Inc. Mr. Brooks received a B.S. in business administration from Oregon State University.
Director - Tery R. Larrew
Mr. Larrew has served in executive level positions for established and start up technology companies. He has served as CEO for several start-ups including Vericept Corporation, a provider of network-based early warning and misuse prevention solutions, headquartered in Englewood, Colo. In addition to joining Unify's board of directors in May 2002, he also currently serves on the board of directors of various technology and services related companies. He is a graduate of Colorado State University with a B.S. degree in business administration and a minor in finance and marketing.
Director - Robert J. Majteles
Mr. Majteles is the managing partner of Treehouse Capital LLC (www.treehousecapital.com), an investment firm he founded in 2001. Prior to launching Treehouse, Mr. Majteles was the chief executive officer of three different technology companies. In addition, Mr. Majteles has also been an investment banker and a merger and acquisitions attorney. Mr. Majteles received a law degree from Stanford University in 1989 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University in 1986. Mr. Majteles is also a Lecturer at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley and is a Lecturer at Stanford Law School, Stanford University.
